Job Description:
Category Manager is responsible for leading & growing category pillars with FMCG suppliers and other enabling parties. S/he will be responsible for planning & managing promotions, margin management, category & private label development initiatives. S/he will create value in non-fuel retail with category growth & development projects. She is responsible for leading the product range, assortment and market planograms with the support of field teams.
Lead and Deliver Growth in Category
-Leading related categories in Non-fuel retail business to maximize profitability.
-Evaluate & understand the business magnitude of each category and prepare a plan to grow in turnover and margin
• Negotiate with suppliers for the yearly contracts and better trade terms
• Responsible for creating the Joint Business Plans with top suppliers
-Manage and develop sustainable supplier relationships
-Execute effective supplier management for his/her categories
-Leading category development projects with & marketing or related parties
Managing Promotions & Category Margin
-Responsible for promotional negotiaitons such as active sales, buy 2 pay less and other cross promotions
-Responsible for finding same/alternative product from different suppliers with better terms
-Foresee cross-sell opportunities within NFR to maximize value & basket size from current customer base by using advanced data analytics & tools.
-Prepare plans and act according to deliver category margin targets
-Responsible for supply safety due to seasonal changes and promotions
-Responsible for seasonal promotions such in peak seasons
-Give input to Revenue and Growth team for shelf prices
Category and Private Label Development Projects
-Work collarobatively
-Work collaboratively with format team to review or add related equipments to be used in operations
-Understand category dynamics & trends to manage the range and assortment
-Understand private lab dynamics and launch new SKUs in his/her categories with stronger customer value
-Be the focal of NFR in some key projects, work with different departments to extract value for NFR & Retail team.
-Try new pilot initiatives for scaling in different categories
-Focus on DO expansion and work collaboratively with related parties
Leading range, assortment and market planograms for growth
-Managing category product range with the understanding of SKU and category performances
-Renew planograms regularly & allign with field teams for execution
-Challenge & help field teams to have best in class execution for Select stores
-Responsible for campaign management and additional promotions

-Advanced MS Excel & powerpoint skills
-Understanding of Pricing & Margin Management
-Experience in working in a fast-changing environment with uncertainty
-Relationship management and communication skills
-Fluency in English
