Job Description:
The SAP Implementation Business Project Analyst will play a crucial role in gathering and analyzing business requirements, ensuring that SAP systems are configured to meet organizational needs, and supporting the entire project lifecycle from planning to post-implementation. This role will asist PM as the liaison between business users and technical teams to deliver a successful SAP solution.
Position description - Purpose
CO network has thrived significantly as a strategic lever to support Turkey’s growth agenda and reached to 85 sites that operates in 8 different cities. This rapid growth increased the need for implementing a sustainable financial control framework and tracking the finance/accounting processes at site level.
SAP will replace the existing ERP (Logo) and this transformation will be the main lever to support the strategic objectives of the business by ensuring the delivery of growth and digitalization agenda of Shell, securing an improved/reinforced control framework, more automated and integrated processes addressing risk mitigation and flexibility for the new projects as SPAS is also utilised as a sand pit for new revenue generation ideas.
This role will work closely with business stakeholders to analyze requirements, document business processes, and support PM to ensure that the SAP solution aligns with business needs during the implementation project. So, supporting the PM, this role is essential for bridging the gap between business needs and the technical configuration of the SAP system. It will be a temporary role of 18 months to address the needs and requirements of a successful ERP change.
This role will assist the Project Manager by:
Business Requirements Gathering:
• Work with business stakeholders to understand business processes, goals, and pain points.
• Facilitate workshops and interviews to gather detailed business requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications for the SAP solution.
Process Mapping and Analysis:
• Analyze current business processes and map them to SAP capabilities.
• Recommend process improvements and system configurations that optimize business performance.
• Create process flow diagrams and document business requirements.
SAP Solution Design:
• Collaborate with consultants to design the SAP system according to business requirements.
• Ensure that the SAP solution is tailored to meet the needs of different business units (e.g., finance, CR, human resources).
Testing and Quality Assurance:
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and user acceptance testing (UAT) scripts.
• Support business users during UAT to ensure that the system meets functional and non-functional requirements.
• Identify and document any issues or gaps in the system and work with consultants to resolve them.
Training and Knowledge Transfer:
• Assist in creating training materials for end-users and provide end-user training sessions.
• Ensure that business users understand the new SAP system and its features.
• Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting for business users.
Project Support and Coordination:
• Assist the project manager in tracking project progress, timelines, and milestones.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including business teams, SAP consultants, and technical teams, to keep them informed of project status.
Change Management:
• Support change management efforts by helping the organization transition to the new SAP system.
• Ensure that business processes and data are effectively migrated to the new system.
Shell Petrol A.S (SPAS), a subsidiary of the JvCo (Shell & Turcas) in Turkey, operates the CO network under RBA operating platform. Currently there are 85 sites in SPAS and all of them are being operated under RBA platform.
SPAS is a very dynamic company that aims to maximize value through on-site Fuel, CR, Lubricants and Commercial Fuel sales. SPAS is expected to have annual sales of 1 mln m3 with a total turnover of 50 bln TRY in 2025.
This role is expected to be a key member of the SAP Implementation project by assisting PM in all project management activities including data migration and integration, customization needs, change management, testing and quality assurance, stakeholder alignment, post-go-live support and maintenance. So, this individual should be capable of supporting the requirements of a complex project with various stakeholders and has a deep knowledge, experience and understanding on the company’s existing systems and processes to ensure a sustainable transformation to the new ERP.
5+ years of experience in statutory reporting and local GAAP
Good analytical skills
Experience on the systems used in SPAS; Logo, Promaks, Site automation, e-systems (Sovos), Atos
Good communication skills fostering enhanced internal & external stakeholder management.
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Resilience and ability to deliver under tight deadlines and high intense working environment.
