Job Description:

Purpose and accountabilities

As the Local Lubricants Technologist to ensure the quality of products manufactured and distributed by Shell Lubricants in the Country of operations meets Shell, customer and legislative requirements.

Work with the Production and Lab Teams to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing Right First Time performance. Champion the effective use of manufacturing quality assurance tools to enable efficiency improvement and cost reduction in LSC operations.

Work with Product Management to regularly review formulations and optimize base oil, VII and PPD to minimize costs.

Manage TS-EN-ISO9001, IATF 16949, TS-EN-ISO14001 as Quality Management System Coordinator

Organize Top Management Review Meeting

Organize internal audit and follow up audits for effectiveness checks

Support management team to direct and support persons to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system and promote continuous improvement

Ensure the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization

Authority to stop production to correct quality problems

Ensure that the Product Conformity Certificates are up to date and have the correct scope.

Coordinate the execution of requested Customer Audits in the plant

Investigate Quality Incidents and lead the maintenance of QMAP and LQS Amendment Trackers.

Skills and requirements

Bachelor’s Degree (Master's Degree a plus) in a scientific discipline with good command of English and local language proficiency are key in day to day interactions and engagements.

Well developed communication skills, ability to build productive internal and external relationships based on trust.

Sound interpersonal & influencing skills and ability to work in a matrix organisational environment, influencing people and delivering results, usually without having formal authority or line responsibility.

Managing quality assurance, product stewardship and continuous improvement experience will be taken into account during the selection process.

Operational or Supply Chain operations experience is a strong advantage.
