Job Description:
Logistics Dealmaker (LDM) develops term & spot logistics contracting strategies as per T&S Products strategy and tactical plans in coordination with channel optimisers and dealmakers.
While holding T&S Products’ whole logistical portfolio, LDM, is also a deal negotiator with an expertise on logistical transactions. He/She, negotiates logistics contracts with 3rd parties being mandated by channel optimisers.
In full compliance with Shell HSSE and operational standards; as well with local legislation; LDM is also responsible for managing logistics contracts through proper BPRs and account management.
He/She works in close collaboration with other interfaces in T&S and COBs to ensure alignment of enterprise first objectives and integrated outcome, balancing consideration for robustness of alternative logistics options, in compliance with Shell’s Business Principles
With a close liaison with Channel Optimizers, HCDM, TSO, HSSE, Compliance, C&P and Legal; LDM maintains and improves T&S’ logistics portfolio to make sure efficient logistical solutions are in place offering cost competitiveness and optionality. By working as part of a team, LDM’s accountabilities are as below:
• The scope of logistics dealmaker’s portfolio comprises massive means transportation contracts on rail, barges, cargoes and pipe together with all S&H deals for all products handled by T&S Turkey.
• He/she is accountable and responsible to facilitate smooth working interface and contract management with 3rd party logistics providers and supply operations. He/she is therefore the holder of all logistical contracts (S&H deals & Primary transport on rail/barge/cargoes/pipe for all products including additives) and responsible for BPR processes of these.
• Contributes to strategy & portfolio studies, develops 3rd parties market intelligence, provides short-term alignment to ensure practicality of options for implementations
• Develops sourcing & contracting strategy with 3rd party service providers, with input on Shell supply chain capacity and capabilities from Channel Optimisation and Supply Schedulers; steers on Shell Standards from Marine/HSSE/Facilities/C&P SMEs; and directions on legislation from Legal/Tax/Compliance advisors.
• To meet short/long term logistical needs of T&S Products, in coordination with C&P and other relevant SMEs, LDM negotiates logistics deals being mandated by channel optimisers.
• Draft s logistical agreements if/when necessary
• Develops and maintains sound commercial relationships with 3rd party logistics solution providers, in compliance with Shell’s Business Principles and Antitrust laws. Seeks and develops new optimisation opportunities
• Input provision to strategic projects, contracting and/or portfolio actions. Continuous collaboration with Business Development, CO and HCDM to capture new opportunities within for his/her area of expertise.
• Authorise payment of invoices for the area of individual responsibility.
• Champion of the cultural change journey to embed greater commerciality within Channel Optimization;pioneers End-to-End thinking and collaboration with all key internal/external stakeholders.
• Fully compliant with ISO9001 Management Quality system and ISO27001 Information security management systems

o Time/Spot charters and COAs making >120 routes per year

• Primary Transport Rail
o ~50 train routes per year
o ~1 mln $ /year.
