Job Description:
The SAP Implementation Business PM will oversee and manage the implementation of SAP systems within the organization. This individual will coordinate efforts between Finance, Business and IT stakeholders and consultants, ensure alignment with business goals, and manage the overall project lifecycle, ensuring that the implementation meets scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.
Position description - Purpose
CO network has thrived significantly as a strategic lever to support Turkey’s growth agenda and reached to 85 sites that operates in 8 different cities. This rapid growth increased the need for implementing a sustainable financial control framework and tracking the finance/accounting processes at site level.
SAP will replace the existing ERP (Logo) and this transformation will be the main lever to support the strategic objectives of the business by ensuring the delivery of growth and digitalization agenda of Shell, securing an improved/reinforced control framework, more automated and integrated processes addressing risk mitigation and flexibility for the new projects as SPAS is also utilised as a sand pit for new revenue generation ideas.
This role will be pivotal for the project delivery by providing management and structure around project scheduling, tracking, resource management, issue management, risk management, change management, and status reporting. It will be a temporary role of 18 months to address the needs and requirements of a successful ERP change.
Position description - Accountabilities
Project Planning & Execution:
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables for SAP implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Lead the entire SAP implementation process, including requirements gathering, system design, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Coordinate project activities, resources, and stakeholders across business, IT, and third-party vendors.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential delays or issues.
Stakeholder Management:
• Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and the technical team, ensuring all parties are informed and aligned.
• Facilitate regular meetings to provide project updates, track progress, and gather feedback.
• Ensure that project goals and objectives are clearly communicated and understood by all stakeholders.
• Foster a collaborative environment and ensure effective communication between different teams involved in the SAP implementation.
Scope & Budget Management:
• Define and manage the project scope, ensuring that the implementation stays within agreed-upon parameters.
• Monitor project budgets and timelines, ensuring that resources are efficiently allocated and utilized.
• Prepare and deliver regular budget and status reports to senior management.
Change Management:
• Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption of SAP by end-users.
• Plan and execute training programs for end-users to ensure the successful adoption of new systems and processes.
• Address any resistance to change by identifying concerns and providing necessary support.
Quality & Compliance:
• Ensure that the SAP implementation follows best practices, meets organizational standards, and complies with relevant regulations.
• Oversee testing phases to ensure the quality and functionality of the SAP system prior to go-live.
Shell Petrol A.S (SPAS), a subsidiary of the JvCo (Shell & Turcas) in Turkey, operates the CO network under RBA operating platform. Currently there are 85 sites in SPAS and all of them are being operated under RBA platform.
SPAS is a very dynamic company that aims to maximize value through on-site Fuel, CR, Lubricants and Commercial Fuel sales. SPAS is expected to have annual sales of 1 mln m3 with a total turnover of 50 bln TRY in 2025.
This role is expected to manage the special challenges of a SAP Implementation project including complexity, data migration and integration, the degree of customization, change management, testing and quality assurance, stakeholder alignment, post-go-live support and maintenance. So, this individual should be capable of handling a complex project with various stakeholders and has a deep knowledge, experience and understanding on the company’s existing systems and processes to ensure a sustainable transformation to the new ERP.
15+ years of experience in statutory reporting, local GAAP and tax mngt.
