Job Description:
• The main responsibility is to support the Country Chairperson in executing CCh responsibilities as defined in the control framework, including the identification and resolution of reputational issues, ethics & compliance and HSSE leadership, strategy and planning processes, crisis management, external representation, country talent management and in maximizing value generation as well as maintaining an overview of country level forward looking strategy aligned with Powering Progress.
• Additionally, the incumbent is to monitor and analyze political and energy related developments and work with the local business leads and Corporate Relations, Legal, Finance, HR, Security departments to identify areas where advocacy is required and contribute to advocacy.
• She/he will support Turkiye CCh and Country Coordination Team (CCT) in early identification and management of emerging issues and opportunities, will also work closely with Global and Local CR organization.
• Furthermore, the incumbent will be the focal point for energy transition at country level, monitoring legislative and other external developments, ensuring business & function ET plans and actions are coordinated, progress on sustainability aspects are monitored and reported.
• The role will;
• Monitor and analyse intelligence on external and internal events regarding political, energy and/or O&G industry developments with potential impact to the existing or aspired businesses in Turkey.
• Support Country Chair’s internal and external engagements (preparation of speeches, presentations etc), including data gatheringand research and maintain updated internal and external Shell Turkey briefing papers.
• Focal point for CCh and CR Planning and budget activities
• Support in new business development, opportunity identification and framing.
• Represent Shell externally with appropriate stakeholders & levels as and when required.
• Support Shell Turkey Crisis Management Team and relevant internal requirements related to record management, government interface, Code of Conduct where needed.
• Dimensions
• Turkey is an important country for RDS, with market leading retail, commercial fuels and lubricants businesses in Shell (70%) and Turcas(30%) JV since 2006, Chemicals and Marine businesses in 100% in The Shell Company of Türkiye Ltd. Gas and Power and Upstream Exploration activities are under separate Shell entities.
• Country Chair is also the Chairperson of the Board of Shell and Turcas, and carry out Chair/Board level responsibilities in Energy and Sustainability Related NGOs, as well as managing senior Government, Diplomatic and other Stakeholder Relations, where the Advisor role will provide support
• The post holder will work closely with the CCh, Country Coordination Team members, , ER Manager, GR Manager, local and global CR teams
