Where you fit in:

You will play a key role in assuring and safeguarding our License to Operate within the Country HR Team. In partnership with the Global HR Policy team, to will help develop global policies and archetypes, to be applied locally, to ensure our policies and benefits are grounded in and aligned with our global identity and company values.

You will also play a key role in providing a great user experience for our employees and leaders through ensuring our policies are clear, easy to access and apply and that they are easy and cost efficient to administer with the support of our HR Operations teams.

What's the role?

1. Overall accountabilities for country policies, compensation and benefits and a subject matter expert on country employment policies and benefits, staying current on legislative requirements, best practices and application to enable competitive and affordable positioning. This includes managing all activities pertaining to Blue Collar Agreement

2. A proactive and strategic partner to HR Community and business to solve business challenges within policy and benefit remit, in collaboration with Global HR Polcy team, HR Operations, and relevant internal and external stakeholders.

3. Manage contracts and relationships with 3rd party service providers for the programs within subject matter expertise areas as well as staying abreast of external best practices and HR functional direction.

4. Contribute local legislative insights and analysis towards relevant Global Policy and archetype development

5. A key role in ensuring a successful end-to-end roll-out, stakeholders/employees engagement and operationalizing of global policies relevant to country context, in collaboration with Global Policy team, HR Operations, local ERIR and relevant parties

What we need from you?

As the custodians of policy and benefits you will need not only role model Shell’s Core Values but have a high level of professionalism and personal integrity.

You will need to prioritize and manage your time in order to think broadly on global/external matters as well as ensure a focus on operational delivery. Additionally you will be able to articulate and understand the 'why' behind our policies and benefits in a way that is engaging and easy for our employees and line leaders to understand and apply.

You will also have:

*proven well developed knowledge of Policy and Benefits including ability to clearly articulate the intent, rational and 'why'

*excellent communication skills (both written, including preparation of LT and/or PayNet papers and verbal including presenting to LTs and/or PayNet)

* demonstrated consulting skills

*significant experience in change management including managing stakeholders, developing implementation plans

* well developed analytical skills (translating data into insights)

* well developed interpersonal skills

* proven project management skills/organising skills

* excellent problem solving skills,

* a learning orientation

*proven experience of working with and building relationships with HR Operations including payroll and where required 3rd party providers, legal, finance, pension and tax

 - A Bachelors or Masters degree, in IT and/or Management

 - Substantial IT experience and knowledge of digital technologies

 - Significant experience of strategic consultancy.

 - Proven change management skills
