Dimensions

Road Transport Turkiye operates as a business unit generating an annual net positive recovery of $5-6 million. The Road Transport Manager holds full ownership and is accountable for delivering business outcomes. RT Manager owns 6 Contracts with 3 Hauliers operating under 3 different modes (1) NDOS – Lane rate, (2) NDOS - "Fixed & Varaible", (3) Mode 1. Annual contract value approx. $37mln ($260mln ACV)

 Turkiye Road Transport

• Works in 8 different geographical regions

• Carries 2.6 Mln m3 product with 3 Hauliers

• Drives more than 22 Mln kms per annum with 200 trucks and 550 drivers

• Delivers product to both VMI and Non-VMI Mobility Dealers

As the RT Integrator, you will play a crucial role in interfacing with key internal stakeholders of RT Turkiye, including Mobility and Supply (Channel Optimization and Commercial Oil Operations), as well as in liaising with external stakeholders like RT Contractor schedulers, Dealers and dispatchers reg. Shell expectations and core deliverables to ensure safe, cost effective and compliant deliveries to its customers.

The RT Integrator will report to the RT Integrator Lead and be based in country.

As a successful candidate you’ll take charge of all aspects related to systems and processes for successful outsource scheduling day-to-day operations. You will own and drive the tools needed for stakeholder engagement, ensuring Shell expectations and core deliverables are met, i.e. safe, cost-effective, and compliant deliveries to our customers.

What is the Role?

Operational Oversight & Stakeholder Coordination

• Oversee daily operations and serve as the primary liaison between RT Contractors and Shell stakeholders, including Mobility, Supply, Dealers, Loading Locations, and the Delivery Fulfillment team.

• Key responsibilities include:

o Aligning commercial terms and logistical feasibility with all stakeholders.

o Monitoring RT Contractors’ compliance with Plan vs. Actual liftings.

o Challenging RT Contractors on performance gaps, especially regarding monthly demand forecasts.

o Ensuring RT Contractors maintain agreed stockout and working capital levels, while identifying end-to-end improvement opportunities.

System & Process Enablement

• Act as the central point of contact between RT Contractors and Shell systems to ensure seamless scheduling, loading, and delivery operations.

• Support the execution of Shell’s ‘phoned-in’ customer orders and ensure touchless orders are correctly placed in MarketHub, with accurate TMP mapping for RT Contractors.

• Resolve issues related to incomplete customer orders.

Urgent & Exceptional Order Handling

• Communicate urgent order requirements from Shell to RT Contractors.

• Administer Load Support Services for driver issues with Terminal Automation Systems or supply allocations.

• Verify that planned movement reference documents are exported from SAP and received at loading terminals.

• Coordinate with Customer Operations to track vehicle visibility and order status during customer inquiries.

• Ensure RT Contractors manage manual advanced shipment notifications.

• Review and authorize non-standard delivery requests from RT Contractors.

• Investigate in-transit product issues and mediate disputes between customers and RT Contractors.

Documentation & Compliance

• Manage delivery documentation required from Shell as the shipper.

• Ensure legal and fiscal compliance when Shell must engage with government agencies prior to loading and delivery.

• Maintain and manage master data in GSAP and VMI systems.

Performance Optimization & Strategic Contribution

• Identify and implement performance improvements across cost, efficiency, and value creation through continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement.

• Contribute to the Cluster Road Transport cost budget and service level targets in collaboration with Finance, Mobility, Products/CO, and New Business Integration.

• Extract and analyze data from relevant systems to generate ad hoc reports for Road Transport Türkiye.

Platform & Crisis Support

• Serve as the business focal point for the new Transport Management Platform, supporting both RT Contractors and Shell’s contract management teams.

• Actively participate in supply chain disruption and crisis management efforts as needed.

SPECIAL CHALLENGE

• Road Transport Turkiye will utilize the Transport Management Platform in support of Outsource Scheduling by RT Contractors. Challenges might arise out of this and need to be dealt with by the new Road Transport Integrator with support from Global System owner and deploy teams.

• Road Transport Turkiye operations is required to coach haulers and ensure no major distruptions happen due to scheduling or system errors.

• Understanding regional regulations, road conditions, and traffic patterns helps this role to co-create solutions with involved stakeholders.

• Initiates direct engagement with Dealers, Haulers, Mobility, and Supply teams when necessary.

• Acts as a liaison between Dealers and Haulers

• Knowledge on local culture and specific requirements of customers is required. The customers in Turkiye value long term personal relations and are not willing to explain their circumstances everytime they have a request.

• Demonstrates strong capability in handling and resolving disputed conversations effectively. They need to a part of the fast-decision making processes when disruptions occur.

• Road Transport Integrator needs to be capable of dealing with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders that does require excellent communication skills and leadership

• Deliver year on year value improvements by demonstrating a strong commercial acumen

• High level of resilience needed to deal with multiple topics at same time as well as to cope with stressful and unknown situations caused by Supply Chain Disruptions

• Have a strong “can-do” mindset and bringing innovative ideas to the team

• Willingness to travel is required (on average approx. 10%)

• Being strong in delivery through others (i.e. RT Contractors) by having proven influencing skills.

Special Challenges & Strategic Capabilities

• Support the rollout of the Transport Management Platform for outsourced scheduling by RT Contractors, addressing challenges with assistance from global system owners and deployment teams.

• Workload surges to intense levels during festive seasons, price adjustment days, peak summer months, and weekends—transforming routine operations into high-pressure, fast-paced environments

• Coach haulers to prevent disruptions caused by scheduling or system errors.

• Leverage knowledge of regional regulations, road conditions, and traffic patterns to co-develop solutions with stakeholders.

• Engage directly with Dealers, Haulers, Mobility, and Supply teams as needed, acting as a liaison between Dealers and Haulers.

• Apply cultural awareness and customer sensitivity, recognizing the importance of long-term relationships and personalized service in Türkiye.

• Demonstrate strong conflict resolution skills and participate in fast-paced decision-making during disruptions.

• Exhibit leadership and communication excellence in managing diverse internal and external stakeholders.

• Deliver year-on-year value improvements through commercial acumen and strategic thinking.

• Maintain resilience in handling multiple priorities and navigating stressful or uncertain supply chain scenarios.
