Job Description:
The CEO of Shell Turcas JV leads one of Shell’s most commercially significant businesses representing the largest top-line contributor globally. This role oversees the full scope of the joint venture’s operations, including Mobility, Lubricants, Trading & Supply, Finance, Legal, and other support functions.
Key Responsibilities
o Lead a complex, multi-business JV with full P&L accountability across Mobility, Lubricants, and other Downstream operations.
o Manage a workforce of approximately 1,000 direct employees and 2,000 indirect site staff, including operations at the LSC Blending Plant.
o Represent Shell Turcas JV at the board level, reporting to five Shell directors and two minority shareholders.
o Oversee strategic planning, operational execution, and stakeholder engagement across diverse business lines.
o Ensure financial sustainability through local funding and treasury management, including cash flow, FX, and supplier payments.
o Maintain strong relationships with ~1,100 influential dealers across Turkey, requiring commercial acumen, leadership presence, and stakeholder credibility.
o Navigate a dynamic macroeconomic and regulatory environment, adapting quickly to market volatility and policy shifts.
o Drive innovation and new business development, leveraging Turkey’s high BSP (Brand Site Potential) to explore growth opportunities.
Additional Responsibilities
o Full accountability for all JV functions, with direct and dotted-line reporting structures across Shell and local entities.
o High visibility role within Shell and the Turkish business community, requiring strategic agility and cross-functional leadership.
o Balance JV priorities with Shell Group expectations, ensuring alignment while maintaining operational independence.
